A friend of mine sent me an email saying that Covers Experts have stooped to a new low and decided to "create" a character, similar to what Budin, DeMarco, and Lang have been doing over the years (ie. Valentino). They simply bought still photos of a hispanic male model (to use as the "face" to sell the tout to the public) and as far as actual plays go they just use a simulation program (ie ESPN Insider's Accuscore) and just get a staffer to do a generic write up and add some hispanic flair to it.
Can anyone please tell me that this was actually some sick joke and that Guillermo Perez is a real capper that has worked with a few of the other companies before? Is anyone familiar with him or purchased his plays from another website? Or is this in actuality an attempt by covers to create a fake tout so they can sell picks and get 100% of the profits?
-actual sports handicapper your familiar with? Or just a hispanic model whose stock photos were purchased for use by covers?
One last thing that i personally found interesting is that one the page for the capper GSP, they discuss his "Handicapping Methods" and this excerpt was contained when describing what he does to handicap games:
"With much programming help and many years of fine-tuning, Guillermo has personally developed an extremely powerful "game simulator." This proprietary program has has been set to incorporate GSP's own handicapping ideology, which differs greatly from sport to sport. Before doing anything else, GSP runs each game through the simulator. This leads to an objective beginning to the rest of his handicapping process. "
Game simulator? So you mean to tell me they are practically hinting that they plays are the result of something like an accuscore? And that they very well could be trying to rip that masses off? LOL, i cant wait to see some of the write ups, we'll know for certain at that point.
